The Solway is wood burning and multi fuel 8kw stove that has been designed to burn both wood and solid fuel (coal – peat – smokeless etc). The Solway is both ECO Design 2022 Compliant and Defra approved for use in Smoke Controlled areas. It offers an efficiency of 79.6% and has A+ Energy Rating. Designed and assembled in the UK, the Solway is a high efficiency stove and offers extremely low emissions (Dust Particles). In recent independent tests, stoves that were Eco Design 2022 Compliant used 6 times less fuel than their non compliant equivalents.

The body of the Solway is made from 5 and 8mm high grade steel which will allow it to heat up quickly from first lighting and will radiate heat to the room quickly, and the door is made from virgin cast Iron for strength and rigidity. The stove features an advanced Tertiary Air System where pre-heated air is drawn in to the firebox and injected in to the path of the fuel gases, this caused the gases to re-ignite resulting in significantly cleaner and more efficient burning.

The Solway offers a nominal heat output of 8kw with a maximum heat output of approximately 10kw. It incorporates both primary and secondary air controls to provide optimum control over the burn rate and heat ouput.  The firebox is fully lined with fire bricks to maximise the efficiency and life of of the stove and it also has an advanced pre-heat air wash system that ensures the glass window stays clean to give a clear view of the flames. The Solway has a 5″ flue outlet meaning that either 5″ or 6″ flue pipe can be connected to it and if offers the option to connect the chimney to a rear flue exit or aa top flue exit.
