Description
5 Inch 45 Degree Flue Elbow with Access Door – Matte Black Vitreous Enamel
The 5 Inch 45 Degree Flue Elbow with Access Door is a premium, CE Approved single wall flue component designed for efficient, safe, and convenient solid fuel, gas, or oil stove installations. Finished in durable matte black vitreous enamel and constructed from 1.2mm thick zero carbon steel, this elbow section is ideal for connecting your appliance to your main chimney or flue system—while providing easy access for cleaning and maintenance.
Why Choose a 5 Inch 45 Degree Flue Elbow with Access Door?
A 45 degree flue elbow is essential when your flue route requires a change in direction, especially in tight spaces or complex installations. The integrated access door on this 5 inch (125mm) elbow makes routine inspection and cleaning straightforward, helping you comply with safety regulations and maintain optimal appliance performance.
Please note: Black stove pipe should only be used as a connecting pipe between your appliance and the flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system. It should not be used to pass through ceilings or walls—use a twin wall insulated flue pipe for those applications.
For more guidance on safe installation, see the official GOV.UK Building Regulations for chimneys and flues and HETAS installation advice.

Installation Guidelines for 5 Inch 45 Degree Flue Elbow
Maintain a distance of at least three times the pipe diameter from combustible materials. For a 5 inch elbow, ensure a minimum clearance of 15 inches (375mm).
Always install with the smaller diameter pointing downward to keep condensates inside the flue system.
All joints should be sealed with a suitable jointing compound, such as fire cement or high temperature silicone sealant, to prevent leaks and maintain the appearance of the pipe.
Maintenance & Cleaning
The integrated access door makes it easy to inspect and clean your flue system, which is particularly important for solid fuel applications. Regular maintenance helps prevent soot build-up and ensures safe, efficient operation. HETAS recommends sweeping chimneys serving solid fuel appliances at least once a year.
