Installation Guidance

It’s crucial to install the 6 Inch 1000mm Stove Flue Pipe correctly for safe operation. This stove pipe should only be used as a connecting section and must not pass through ceilings or walls—use twin wall insulated flue pipe for those applications. Maintain a minimum clearance of three times the diameter (450mm for a 6-inch pipe) from any combustible materials, such as wood or plasterboard.

When installing, ensure the smaller diameter end of the flue pipe points downward. This prevents condensate from escaping and keeps your pipe looking its best. All joints should be sealed with a suitable jointing compound, such as fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant, to ensure a gas-tight fit.

Maintenance & Accessories

Regular inspection and cleaning of your flue system is essential, particularly for solid fuel appliances. We recommend installing a stove pipe section with an access door for easier maintenance. Chimneys serving solid fuel stoves should be swept at least once a year, or more often as needed.
