Description

The Condor BO Cooker Stove with Back Boiler For Unvented or Vented hot water –

Multi-Fuel, Wood Burning, Range – Stove – Oven

Eco Design 2022 Compliant

The Condor with integral back boiler for hot water heating is an impressive wood burning Range Cooker / Oven that will cook, heat and provide central heating and domestic hot water. Hand built in Europe and finished to a very high standard of quality and finish the Victoria Condor offers unrivaled value for money. Finished in a contemporary black with polished silver handles and controls, and a chrome towel rail across the front, this stylish range stove cooker incorporates a large top surface hot plate, large fire box, a large separate oven and a wrap around back boiler for central heating and domestic hot water.

Maximum Space Heating Output: 8-10Kw
Maximum Water Heating Output:7-8Kw
Nominal Space Heating Output: 6Kw
Nominal Water Heating Output: 5Kw

The large firebox is located on the left hand side of the cooker and will take big logs up to a length of 480mm. The firebox is part lined with fire bricks to prolong the life and heating efficiency of the stove, and a multi fuel grate allows the option of solid fuel and / or wood and provides easy lighting. The Condor incorporates both primary and secondary air controls on the firebox, in order to optimise control and management of both the burning rate and the temperature output. An advanced convection air wash system draws air in through the bottom, which then passes it around the combustion chamber to maintain extremely efficient heating , this also ensures clean burning and helps to keep the ceramic glass windows clear. In addition the firebox also has a large removable ash pan for ease of cleaning and maintenance.

The back boiler is a wrap around design and cover the sides and rear of the firebox in order to optimise the heating capacity. (see last picture )

The back boiler has 4 water outlets which are located on the rear of the Condor, essentially they comprise of 2 pairs of flow and a return, size = 1 inch BSP. (Most plumbing merchants sell convertors from BSP to metric). The back boiler is designed for use up to a working pressure of 2 bar. In addition the back boiler incorporates a cooling quenching coil, which can be used by connecting a cold mains water feed to the cooling coil and a drain to outside for the waste water once it has passed through the coil. NB: a TAS valve is required to utilise the cooling coil.

The large oven is located to the right hand side and incorporates a middle shelf. The temperature of the oven is controlled by a chrome push / pull lever and the ceramic glass oven door window has a built in visible thermometer to allow the user to monitor and regulate the temperature of the oven. We have many reports from customers that the oven is extremely easy to control when cooking.

The entire top surface of the Condor is a large hot plate. There is a removable circular disk located directly over the firebox on the left hand side of the hot plate, this is designed to be hotter than the rest of the top plate, or it can be removed to allow you to place a kettle or pan either directly over the fire below for rapid heating. The right hand side of the top plate is generally cooler than the right hand side, which is located directly over the firebox.

The flue exit is located on the top of the Condor to the rear in the right hand side corner, this can not be altered, however where a centre flue exit is required in order to travel up a chimney above, you can use a 45 degree elbow to kick the flue pipe over to the centre or far left of the stove. We offer a free chimney design service and sell all associated flue and chimney parts.

In summary a smart and functional wood burning / multi fuel range cooker that will cook, roast, heat your kitchen and adjacent rooms, and heat hot water for the central heating and the domestic hot water. We have recently sold this model to a customer who is successfully heating 10 radiators, an area of underfloor heating, a 200 litre domestic hot water tank, the room where the stove is located, and carrying out the cooking.

Please note that we also sell the Condor without a back boiler, please see our other items for sale on eBay for details of the version without back boiler. (the Condor advertised on this page incorporates a back boiler)

    Hi there

Stove was fitted and plumbed in yesterday, no dramas because it was replacing a worn out Rayburn. We must say how impressed we are with the Condor, it works an absolute treat and seems much more controllable than the Rayburn. Absolutely delighted!!! Just one small niggle is the paint hasn’t turned up! Grateful if you could send another.

We’re just back from France where we managed to get the Condor installed and lit. Started off slow and easy as recommended. Day 2 and we were getting warm radiator, warm water and cooking. Bearing in mind the house is still an open plan building site, no doors to any of the rooms, just open plan throughout, by day 3 the fabric of the building was drying out slowly. We’ve had the stove burning every day for a week – even kept it in right through one night – hot showers, hot radiators, hot food, warm house, all in one! Great stove, thank you.

    Hi there

The Condor stove that we recently bought from you is without doubt ‘Exceptional’ and during this cold weather has been a real boon. We have managed to keep the fire just ‘ticking over’ at night and its so easy to get a good fire back in the morning. However, I was wondering if you could supply us with another ash pan for ease of continuous burn and emptying of the ash pan? (we like to let the ash cool before emptying). If so could you give us an idea of price and availability?

    Once again, many thanks

Just to let you know our new cooker was installed on friday and is working well.
The heat output is far better than the rayburn Nouvelle, it is more responsive and its running 5 radiators and a 42×18 hot water cylinder at present with a good heat output.
As far as consumption rate of logs go, its about the same as the Rayburn but the heat output in the kitchen is a lot better.
All in all for the price its very good.

I would rate it as 4.5 stars out of 5 and very good value for money.

Not yet had the log burner with back boiler fitted as the old one is still in place and i have got to rebuild the fireplace with cornish stone to accommodate the new fire, thats a job for when the weather warms up as we are still using the old fire.

If you have any enquiries from people in Cornwall who want to see one of these stoves working they are quiet welcome to come and see this one.

    Mr B Hobbs.

    Hi

Thought you might like a review of the Condor Range with Back boiler that we have just plumbed in for your website. It is a fantastic stove not only great to look at but is very easily running 6 radiators and hot water. It burns really well and draws amazingly plus is easy to control. Having the cooker makes it so much more useful. Great value for money do not hesitate to buy if you want central heating, hot water and a cooker.

I am very pleased and the service was great, very friendly and helpful staff. Plus the Flue was the best price anywhere!

    Many thanks

  7. Luke

Very pleased with the new Condor back boiler stove oven. Heats our seven radiators with ease with just a small amount of coal or a couple of logs, for around 8 hours. Family and friends starting to complain of house being too hot! Starting to use it for cooking, and surprised at how effective it is.
Also, very pleased with new valiant boiler they supplied and fitted, very competitive price. Very competent and helpful fitters throughout.

    Very satisfied customers

Delivered on time, on the day they said it would be delivered, which some companies seem to find difficult these days. Product looks good, looking forward to using it. Excellent service so far.
