Description

5 Inch 250mm Stove Pipe – Matte Black Rigid Flue Connector

The 5 Inch 250mm Stove Pipe is a robust, CE Approved flue connector designed for use with a wide range of gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances. Manufactured from 1.2mm thick zero carbon steel and finished in a durable matte black vitreous enamel, this fixed length pipe ensures reliability, safety, and a sleek finish for your installation.

Why Choose a 5 Inch 250mm Stove Pipe?

A high-quality flue connection is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your stove or heating appliance. This 5 inch (125mm) diameter, 250mm long stove pipe is engineered for use as a connecting section between your appliance and the main flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system. It is suitable for use with appliances operating at temperatures up to 750°C, making it ideal for wood burning, multi-fuel, gas, or oil stoves.

Please note: Black stove pipe should never be used to pass through ceilings or walls—always use a twin wall insulated flue pipe for these applications.

For more guidance on safe installation, see the official GOV.UK Building Regulations for chimneys and flues and HETAS installation advice.

Installation Guidelines for 5 Inch Stove Pipe

Maintain a distance of at least three times the pipe diameter from combustible materials. For a 5 inch stove pipe, this means a minimum clearance of 15 inches (375mm).
Always install with the smaller diameter pointing downward to keep condensates inside the flue system.
Seal all joints with a suitable jointing compound, such as fire cement or high temperature silicone sealant, to prevent leaks and maintain the appearance of the pipe.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular inspection and cleaning of your chimney or flue system is essential for safe operation, especially with solid fuel appliances. Consider installing a black pipe with access door for easier maintenance and cleaning. HETAS recommends sweeping chimneys serving solid fuel appliances at least once a year.
